Category Specialist Leased Lines

Vodafone is embarking on a long-term strategy to re-define the buying of Leased Lines and related products globally, the successful candidate will deliver savings and ongoing cost management within this multibillion euro spend portfolio.
The candidate will drive the execution of Vodafone’s global strategy for buying and procuring leased lines, fixed line access and wholesale line rental. In this role you will build close and valuable relationships with both Group and local partners. You will create efficiencies in our inventory through analysis of spend data and deliver market leading carrier management for all Vodafone markets and performance improvements across all carrier products.  Our new team member will be encouraged to challenge the existing carriers spend portfolio using data analysis and develop alternative solutions.
You will
•    Deliver the agreed Category Strategy for buying Leased Lines
•    Develop the spend baseline, supplier market analysis, regional benchmarking and share best practice
•    Drive consolidation and transformation activities across the carrier supply chain
•    Achieve ambitious targets for savings across all products
•    Create opportunities for increased competition, through market analysis
•    Support a large and varied internal partner network in the local markets and Group functions
•    Promote and implement a wide range of digital procurement tools and reporting techniques for use on Leased Lines
•    Commit to the Leased Line team, delivering common values and objectives around Health & Safety, excellence and business partnering
•    Ensure individual targets in operational efficiencies (eg. catalogue management, supplier performance) are met
•    Ensure cost reduction and centralisation through standardisation
It would be nice if you have…
•    Some experience of managing RFQ;s and working in a supply chain environment 
•    Basic understanding of contracts and legal principles
•    Ability to lead, develop and motivate a complex virtual team, and ensure the successful delivery of financial targets
•    High self-motivation and an eagerness to deliver
You must have…
•    Business Degree 
•    Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 
•    Knowledge and experience on data analysis, creating trends and identifying anomalies in data sets
•    A very inquisitive, explorative and challenging attitude
•    Have the ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity while working under pressure in a fast paced multicultural environment 
•    Business acumen: knows or will to get to know all about the competition, the market place, knowledgeable in practices and trends
•    Fluency in English, 2nd language can be useful #groupresourcing

Job Responsibility

* Supports sourcing projects for the category / categories from requirement gathering to contracting and demonstrates a good understanding of the category practices;

* Performs sourcing activities, (e.g. launches e-auction / RFPs / RFIs / RFQs) and drives significant cost savings;

* Executes purchasing and contracting activities in a professional way, in line with Vodafone standards and local targets;

* Delivers against category targets and timeframes;

* Demonstrates negotiating techniques to assist team with cost and value management in accordance with the agreed procurement models for these activities;

* Ensures the effective use of performance management and measurement tools (e.g. OneSCM�s supplier capability tool) to drive improvements against agreed performance/cost improvement targets and to facilitate best practice amongst team members/colleagues;

* Complies to global / local supply chain policies;

* Work in close cooperation with Category team and market stakeholders for the update of spend, savings, as well as reporting;

* Performs other job-related duties or tasks defined by the supervisor or resulting from assigned agendas.
