Vodafone is moving to a digital first business.  Empowering our customers through exceptional digital sales experience is central to our business priorities and is a key lever in delivering our future digital sales aspirations of 40% end-to-end digitally unassisted acquisition sales.


We want our customers to see us as a best-in-class telco and to consider us as a benchmark setter outside our industry. To deliver this our areas of priority focus are:

(1) Capability Development (App and Web): In order to drive acquisition sales through digital we need to identify all necessary end to end capability.  This includes full end to end funnel capabilities, including onsite conversion and order fulfilment.
(2) Driving Digital Experience and Performance: Once capability exists, focus moves to iteration to ensure customer loyalty and repeat business, through a digital first approach.  Emphasis is on best in class digital experience and funnel conversion.
(3) Leveraging Commercial and Marketing opportunities: The final stage after delivering an exceptional digital experience is to drive customers to our digital channels through effective marketing and digital first propositions.  The role will require close collaboration with both proposition and marketing teams to deliver on our goals.


Reporting into the Senior Manager for Digital Sales, this role will be accountable for refining the digital sales strategy across our global footprint of 20+ markets, driving funnel optimisations, customer experience improvements and technical performance requirements for Vodafone ‘core’ assets (app and web).

You Will:

• Ecommerce Acquisition champion, primary contact for markets for performance & strategy to drive digital sales across App and Web channels.
• Deep dive with all markets on journey capability, innovation and experience to identify best practices
• Drive end-to-end conversion rate optimisation and order fulfilment across markets.
• Support strategic roadmap of web and app capability development and improvement
• Leading the eCommerce Community and Programme Review meetings. Engagement with relevant stakeholders and presentation of key strategic priorities.
• Engage with Group Strategy, CVM & marketing teams to ensure digital sales  framework is well positioned and aligned with overall VF commercial objectives

We Would like you to have:
• 5+ years’ experience in digital
• Extensive commercial and technical experience in eCommerce
• Customer centred mind-set
• Insight & data driven
• Funnel analytics
• Understanding of agile working methodologies
• Basic understanding of Web analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe SiteCatalyst. SAS, EDW) and A/B testing and personalisation solutions, (e.g. Optimizely, Adobe Target and Audience)
• Advanced analysis using Excel and effective presentation using PowerPoint
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders in multiple markets, cross-functional teams and stakeholders on multiple projects at the same time

You Must Have:
• Degree in business or information systems
• Analytical and data interpretation experience & mind-set
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders in multiple markets, cross-functional teams and stakeholders on multiple projects at the same time
• Proven ability to work closely with Technology teams in an agile development environment
