We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategy & Business Development Manager to join our Strategy & Business Development team in Vodafone UK. 


What will you be doing? 


In this role you will be working across both M&A and Commercial Strategy,to identify, consider, review and recommend selected merger and acquisition opportunities or commercial partnerships.
Actively engage with the business (commercial, technology, etc.) and other 3rd parties on opportunities for inorganic growth, in identifying, assessing strategic rationale & finding path to delivery
Develop the supporting business case underpinning the opportunity: Overall competitive context and market forecasts / Comprehensive financial modelling and analysis, including financial forecasts for partnership / Synergies evaluation / Basic valuation. 
Support and co-ordinate the evaluation of M&A opportunities or commercial partnerships: collect information, forecasts and analysis of market dynamics to formulate business evaluations of opportunities / Challenge the financial & commercial information provided to ensure its rigour, consistency & integrity / Provide direction to business heads, supervising input from external advisors, co-ordinating compliance, tax, due diligence, financial, legal, etc. (depending on size of the deal).
Prepare M&A / partnership proposals for board/GMT review and decision
Support team in negotiation with external parties on the basis of legal, financial and operational advice on the key deal parameters


Who are we looking for?  


Detailed experience in a professional services firm or in a corporate working on assessing M&A opportunities and/or commercial partnerships 

Consultancy experience would be beneficial
Excellent quantitative skills and modelling capabilities
Excellent interpersonal communication/ collaboration skills
Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity 
Ability to create board level presentations 
Interest in the Telco/ Tech sector
Bachelors/ Masters degree
