Location: Newbury/Paddington 

To build and define Vodafone Group’s global set of standards and requirements for how lawful interception should be conduted across all Group entities. Taking the position as subject matter expert on all aspects of lawful interception technologies and capabilities. 
Ensuring compliance with our global law enforcement assistance policy and taking into account future trends and technology advances.  The position will provide pro-active advice and assistance to local markets and Group entities, including encouraging sharing of best practice and incorporation of recognised technical standards. 


You will
• Define standards and policy for lawful interception technology across VF entities
• Support local markets on complex technical deliveries (scoping, vendor selection, delivery oversight)
• Identify new technologies and technical capabilities required to achieve compliance
• Represent Vodafone at technical standards forums (ETSI / 3GPP)
• Support local market and Group entities with vendor selection and due diligence 
• Subject matter expertise on new technology concepts (encryption, CNI, 


It would be nice if you have…
• Deep understanding of mobile and fixed telecommunications networks 
• Ability to build and develop strong relationships within Vodafone entities and external stakeholders
• Experience of working with Government and Law Enforcement bodies


You must have…
• Qualification at degree level – knowledge of the law useful
• Experience in lawful interception techniques and technical standards
• Technical experience required in both lawful interception and retained data. Ability to translate technical requirements from legal objectives.
• Be willing to undertake National Security vetting as and when required
