Salary: £Competitive + Benefits + 10%
Hours: 37.5 Mon- Fri

What will you be doing?


You will be Leading and assuring the design effort for technical transformation demand. Acting as a key sign-off of technical artefacts (Low Level Design, Migration Designs, Implementation & Test Approaches, Operational Support Handover, etc.). You will be the Technical Single Point of Contact and functional and technical expert for the application portfolio within the domain, supporting planned releases and major incidents.



Who are we looking for? 



  • We are looking for someone to establish a systems architecture roadmap to provide direction for technical upgrades, capacity uplifts, system rationalisation, decommissioning through functional convergence (in conjunction with broader technology stack evolution) in conjunction with programme demand. This will result in measured continuous improvement for the overall ‘technical health’ of the Domain. 
  • Lead a Solution Architecture & Design reviews and assurance activities throughout the Development lifecycle ensuring compliance to Domain systems capability, domain roadmaps, and technical target architecture throughout the SDLC.
  • Support the cross-functional delivery teams to achieve high functioning behaviours through clear definitions of success whilst building ability, responsibility and trust within teams
  • Possess a proven and demonstrable Architecture, Development and Technical Leadership skills (within the Telecom industry would be a bonus).
  • You are a clear logical thinker and problem solver, able to think outside the box with a pragmatic approach to solution development.  
  • A deep understanding of technical security concepts to protect us and our users.A track record of building reliable and safe distributed systems, with an appreciation of the trade-offs made during construction
  • You're a strong communicator, with a passion for new technology and a drive to push your boundaries
  • Safe Agile certified, or extensive experience working in a scaled Scrum or Kanban environment.
