Description

Role: Compliance Manager (Frameworks)
Location: London, Paddington


The Group Compliance team play a key role in our ‘second line of defence’ at Vodafone. The team are responsible for identifying risk to Vodafone, governing the mandatory controls that are put in place to manage that risk, assuring that those controls have been properly implemented and reporting on levels of implementation to Board committees. The team are also tasked with standardising and simplifying the control environment through digitalisation and centralisation. 

The role of Compliance manager (Controls framework) is composed of two main parts. Firstly governance and standardisation of control and secondly simplification of Vodafone’s control environment. 


With us you will:
-Own & develop the Policy & Control (P&C) framework in order to drive alignment between Vodafone's second line functions. Including: 
-Governing controls to ensure that they are introduced into the environment in the most effective way.
-Working with Group subject matter experts to design and standardise controls.
-Setting the minimum standards for how assurance is to be carried out within Vodafone’s three assurance pillars.
-Running continuous control improvement programmes designed to automate or centralise.
-Co-ordinating the creation of Vodafone’s combined assurance plan. 
-Tracking Vodafone’s combined assurance plan to ensure it is delivered. 
-Building and maintaining a community of Group subject matter experts.
-Building and maintaining a community of Local market contacts to ensure that the mandatory control framework is effective on the ground. 
-Working with local compliance officers to ensure that the Compliance pillar control testing process is implemented.     Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
-In-depth experience of designing and implementing controls
-Experience of designing and implementing methods for assuring controls
-Experience of leading control automation or centralisation projects
-Ability to understand multiple risk areas e.g. Legal controls, IT controls and finance controls
-Strong interpersonal & communication skills, ability to interact with senior management
-Be output focused and able to work autonomously without day-to-day supervision


It would be nice if you have:
-In-depth experience of designing and implementing controls
-Experience of designing and implementing methods for assuring controls
-Experience of leading control automation or centralisation projects
-Ability to understand multiple risk areas e.g. Legal controls, IT controls and finance controls
-Strong interpersonal & communication skills, ability to interact with senior management
