Commercial Finance Manager

Location: London (Full-time remote working during COVID-19)

What will you be doing? 
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Consumer Commercial Finance team in a business partnering role.  

 

As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will support our Consumer Fixed Business with proactive P&L management, providing insights and conducting analysis on the year-on-year and month-on-month performance. You will be heavily involved throughout month-end to ensure the Fixed Business understands performance with clear actions and areas of focus. 

 

The role requires you to be great with data and have existing Excel modelling skills. In addition to the technical skills, we are looking for a confident and articulate communicator as the role requires regular interaction with senior management across the business, with the need to provide clear, succinct and insightful analysis.
 

Role Accountabilities:

  • Own and manage the Fixed Customer IBRO – Inflow, Base enrichment, Retention (Tariffs migrations and upgrades) & Outflow
  • Manage and optimise economics across multiple fixed suppliers
  • Contract management – monitoring and driving the Business to deliver against minimum volume commitments 
  • Proactively managing channel economics to drive cost improvements 
  • Rebate management – multimillion cost saving initiative 
  • Month end closing activities and supporting overall Fixed P&L
  • Support Fixed team with deep dives on Churn 
  • Drive the financial planning associated with the annual budget for the year ahead and long range planning cycles for the next 5 years

 

 

Who are we looking for?  

  • Fixed experience within Telco is a prerequisite 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Highly organised
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team player and contribution to cross-functional working
  • Strong interpersonal skills, having worked within multi-disciplinary virtual teams
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Proactively takes ownership to drive
  • ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified or similar qualifications
