Role: Associate Privacy Counsel
Location: London, Paddington

Support Vodafone’s Global Privacy Program by providing world class legal, strategic, policy operational and other privacy support to Vodafone’s businesses, in particular by i) providing the legal advice for Vodafone Global Privacy Programme; ii) defining and implementing strategic solutions for all business lines and functions; iii) negotiation of the data protection terms of strategic contracts and providing data protection contractual advice to operational teams (including contract managers); and supporting external facing privacy policy and regulatory activities to ensure Vodafone can execute its business strategies.

With us you will:
-Advise on all privacy legal matters, including e.g. new strategies, product development, negotiations, creation and maintenance of data protection terms in contracts, and regulatory compliance for Vodafone Group entities; 
-Analyse and communicating strategic regulatory and business environment changes and trends to affected internal business stakeholders; 
-Policy, standards and process creation and implementation within areas of responsibility;
-Training, awareness raising within area of responsibility;
-Any other tasks to support Vodafone Global Privacy team.

It would be nice if you have:
-Legal expertise in privacy, cybersecurity, data protection, confidentiality of communications and law enforcement assistance in at least one major geographical Vodafone region, and excellent understanding of global privacy landscape in technology and online businesses.
-Experience in negotiating  contracts – supplier and customer side.
-Good understanding of telecommunications and OTT business strategies and operations.
-Ability to analyse and effectively communicate key strategic implications 
-Project management skills
-Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and public speaking skills
-Comfortable working in a matrix organisation with tolerance for ambiguity. Persistence to drive change over time.
-Results oriented, proactive, responsible, pragmatic and ethical person with a passion for privacy and interest in technologies and their societal impact.
