As Vodafone transitions from a Telecom to a Technology Company, there has never been a more exciting time to join our team! We are looking for ambitious Graduates with a passion for all things Tech to push Vodafone forward.


Full-time Position
Start Date: January-February 2021
Duration of Programme: 2 years
Location: Portugal (Lisbon)

Areas you could be working in include:

  • Roaming: To plan, design, build and support advanced, central platform infrastructure and networks used for 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G roaming offering products and services to Vodafone’s customers. Telecommunication or electrical/electronic background is a plus. 
  • Product Owner (Yorn): Working together with other teams like CVM and Brand, to identify new partners. Creativity and analytical skills are a must.

 

You will be asked to state your area of interest during the application process.

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrate creativity, adaptability and intellectual curiosity, the ability to analyze and solve problems and offer outside of the box solutions;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Able to adapt to different areas and ready to apply your skills to something new;
  • Curiosity and passion for technology, how things work and the future of digital;
  • Graduated with a Master Degree or on track to receive one in 2020 (with a Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications engineering);
  • Maximum 2 years of working experience;
  • Data roaming: Knowledge in Mobile Packet core, EPC (4G, 5G), IP / MPLS networks and Protocols (IP, BGP, GTP, DNS and SMTP); Data base management (SQL), Cisco/Juniper certifications considered is a plus
  • OR Signalling roaming: Knowledge in Circuit Switched core (2g/3g; 4g signalling); Network Element (DRS, STP); SS7, Sigtran, Diameter protocols
  • Fluency in Portuguese and/or English (oral and written).

When you apply for the Vodafone Youth Discover Graduate Program you will be asked to fill out an application form. This allows us to get to know you and your background of experience. Here you will be asked to attach your CV. Please attach your CV in English.


If your background and experience match the requirements, you will be invited to participate in our online assessment. This allows us to see if you are the right fit for the Vodafone culture.


The online assessment includes the following:

  • Two gamified logical tests (approx. 5-10min);
  • Video interview (approx. 15min) focusing on Vodafone’s potential indicators, competencies and motivation. Please complete your video interview in English.
