Role Purpose

Based in Japan, the Solution Sales Specialist is responsible for driving acquisition sales of products and solutions including (Fixed Data Services, Unified Communications, Cloud & Security, Managed Mobile, IoT services) on Vodafone Global Enterprise (VGE) accounts within the  Industry Vertical. This is achieved by building both industry and customer specific business propositions that allow VGE to combine multiple products and services into compelling solutions, that are relevant and transformational for our customers will be responsible for identifying, owning and delivering complex solutions for VGE customers.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Acquire VGE solutions and products for allocated customer base. 
•    Expert knowledge of relevant products including detailed understanding of customer business environment, market trends and competitive positioning.
•    Position Vodafone and portfolio in the context of the [vertical] customer environment, develop blueprint of Vodafone services offering substantial business value to the customer; identify/create/shape and successful closure of business opportunities 
•    Lead the sale of solutions and products as part of a  proposition,  define a clear strategy in a team approach with the account team, manage internal processes and stakeholders to ensure delivery capabilities 
•    Communicate on decision level (CIO/CTO, IT director, business leader, IT procurement) to influence and advise on strategy and Vodafone’s propositions; engage with technical and non-technical audiences, including those outside of IT and Procurement functions.

•    Communicate and influence  internal stakeholders to ensure products and solutions are delivered to customer’s satisfaction

Essential:

•    Deep understanding of key product sets, including; Fixed Data services (MPLS, IP, SDWAN, OTN), Unified Communications/Collaboration services (MS TEAMS, Skype for Business, GSIP), Cloud & Security (VDI, Cloud based security solutions), Mobile Device Management solutions and IoT solutions. Must be “expert” in at least one of the areas and possess the ability to articulate solution concepts and applications across all of them.
•    7-10 years working experience with at least 3-5 years presales or solution sales in regional or global telcos. Experience in SI's or IT consulting companies on top of telco experience would be an advantage.
•    Industry certifications from AWS, Cisco, juniper, Microsoft and/or other companies preferred but not mandatory.
•    Capability to successfully sell the Vodafone product and solution portfolio up to C-Level.
•    Ability to Identify, Qualify, and set the Sales Strategy for customer opportunities, and work within a Bid Team to deliver high quality customer solutions.
•    Good interpersonal skills, the ability to build and maintain good quality relationships within the customer base, and with key VGE stakeholders.
•    Outstanding communication and presentation skills – ability to enthuse and excite the customer.
•    Positive and energetic attitude, challenging, strong on internal stakeholder management, and experienced in leading and being part of virtual teams.
•    Proven track record of successfully building compelling solutions and propositions to address key business requirements.
•    Ability to work independently, proactive and action oriented.
