ROLE PURPOSE

The dynamic growth of Vodafone Turkey and the business critical nature of the products and services offered to Vodafone’s customer base mean it’s imperative that it has a world class audit function supporting it. 
 
The Internal Audit Senior Manager will be responsible for all risk-based independent assurance of the business processes supporting Vodafone Group’s objectives, operating as a key part of a world-class audit function. The Internal Audit Senior Manager will set the strategy, operating model, quality, business interaction, processes and operating rhythm for audit delivery for Turkey.
 

Your Place in the team

Internal Audit Senior Manager will be a key member of the Group Audit Domain Leadership Team. She/he will be responsible for delivering a risk-based audit plan, satisfying corporate governance responsibilities, and implementing approaches to drive consistency in audit coverage and quality of audit deliverables. She/he will also directly support the Turkey CFO. 
 
She/he will hold responsibility for leading aggregate improvement across the audit function. Defining and leading advances in audit best practice, with particular focus on the what, which and when of audit. What risks are defined as the greatest perceived threat, which areas of the businesses to focus on, either specific processes spanning the businesses, or particular functions within them, and when, the timeliness of audit, linked to the topicality of risk in any given environment. 
 
By leading, and further developing a team of highly-engaged, knowledgeable and international auditors that are valued by stakeholders, she/he will deliver consistent and sound advice and assurance that provides the respective CFO’s peace of mind.  There is abroad operational remit to deliver within and beyond the region s/he serves. The audit function is also expected to operate as a key Vodafone business partner and participate in special projects and reviews on an ad-hoc basis.

Critical Experience
▪ Qualified accountant / internal auditor with experience in blue chip organisations, ideally telecoms, or related businesses, with a strong focus on finance, commercial, and business development activities;
 ▪ Proven skills and track record in audit leadership and project management in an internal audit / finance / commercial environment; 
▪ Excellent project / programme management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in dynamic, environments; 
▪ Excellent experience in having to make challenging decisions within fast moving environments, with the ability to balance conflicting interests between commercial needs and sound controls; 
▪ Broad experience in auditing techniques e.g. CAAT (Computer Aided Audit Techniques). 
 
Critical Competences 
▪ Leadership capability. The ability to provide leadership, clarity, and purpose bringing people (who are not direct line reports) on the journey within in the matrix and Group/OpCo structure, building trust and driving effective cooperation across a diversified, highly matrixed structure; 
▪ Analysis/critical thinking. Able to structure analysis, asking the right questions and focusing on the right data to generate genuine insight on which to build plans; 
▪ Strong communication skills. Possessing the ability to operate at Board level, influencing the rationale for sound audit policy and control and manage highly demanding stakeholders; 
▪ Capacity to drive change in a highly complex organisational environment; made complex by dispersed geographies, market based organisational design and multiple stakeholders with competing priorities; 
▪ High level of resilience. A level of resilience and conviction to persist in driving internal audit development and implementation, despite setbacks or obstacles; 
▪ Relationship building. The capacity to partner and establish strong relationships 
 
Key performance indicators 
▪ Audit plan completion for Region and Business; 
▪ Status and ageing of audit remediation actions. 
 
Ideal Technical & Professional Qualifications 
▪ Appropriate Accountancy and/or audit qualifications and accreditations, CA, CIMA, Certified/Chartered Internal Auditor.
