ROLE PURPOSE


By owning startup engagement responsibility, main purpose of this is role is to create and manage processes to connect startups to Vodafone to initiate partnerships/JVs.

Job Responsibility

 

 

Your place in the team

 

•    Will be responsible for owning and executing key aspects of Vodafone Vitrin, Vodafone Turkey’s startup program
•    Will be partnering with an external Accelerator brand to increase impact of the program
•    Will be designing, implementing, communicating, measuring and iterating on key aspects of startups. In order to do this, the manager should be coordinating with Business, Marketing, Marketplace, Supply Chain and other teams
•    Develop measurement frameworks to gauge the efficacy of startup partnerships
•    Communicate insights, lessons learned and results to other teams and to executive leadership
•    Other than the owning and executing Vodafone Vitrin: 
•    Develop and manage relationships with startup companies and accelerators to ensure they are successful in using the Vodafone Yanımda platform
•    Develop relationship in the broader startup ecosystem with investors (angels, VC investors, government funds, etc), technology media, co-working space, and all major stakeholders that have strong influence on early-stage startups, besides incubators and accelerators
•    Coming up with new ideas and improve practices in order to advance retention, engagement and monetization of startup businesses within Vodafone

 

 

We are looking for you if you have


•    Having an innate understanding of entrepreneurs, company founders and technical decision makers at early stage companies, and be passionate about helping build new ideas for that community
•    Experience designing and developing new products or programs targeted at the startup community
•    Should be familiar and interested in driving innovation in customer facing products, and have a track record of owning successful, metrics driven development plans
•    Able to work with and influence different teams across organizations to work toward a common goal
•    Ability to earn trust with startup founders, as well as work cross-functionally across the Vodafone organization
•    Excellent command of written and spoken English,
•    Bachelor's or Master’s Degree from a reputable university preferably in Engineering, Management, Business and other related departments
•    5+ years of experience in management consulting/corporate finance/business development/strategy/venture relations/investment finance
•    Knowledge in business planning and conducting financial analysis 
•    Experience working with internal and external clients and partners
•    Critical thinker, Data-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
•    An experienced planner, with strong cross-team coordination and multitasking skills. Must be comfortable operating at different levels in the organization
•    Open to direct feedback culture, prone to constant learning, taking initiative and not avoiding responsibility
•    Proven track record of showing ownership and overcoming obstacles
•    Self-motivated, highly adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-changing and fluid environment
•    Written and verbal communication skills in English are assets for this position
•    Good understanding of e-commerce and marketplaces, new business models
•    Strong decision making and problem solving; takes initiative and ability to work both independently and in teams, collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
