We are looking for a

Open Ran Engineer

Vodafone as part of the Tech2025 strategy  is establishing an innovation center in Turkey. In the new generation innovation center one of the focus areas will be developing the overall strategy and architecture of Open Ran (Open Radio Access Networks) technologies.
We are scaling up our global team and looking for engineers to launch the movement in Turkey and in all countries of Vodafone. Together we will co-create impactful and inclusive solutions at scale.


You will join an international team that truly values a learning mindset and encourages each team member to make their role their own.  You are going to be part of  Open Ran  System Integration team and responsible for Open Ran product performence across VF markets.

Job Responsibility

Your place in the team

• Contribute to Open Ran System Integration worldwide Ecosystem driving results across Product Integration, Network Services, Support and End-to-End Radio Product validation and successful deployment in the field.
• Verify conformance, performance of all main components of the disaggregated architecture 
• Troubleshoot  issues  regarding multi-vendor interoperability, manageability,  optimization and end-to-end performance 
• Develop and deploy key features to commercial deployment to improve customer experience
• Undertake performance improvement (KPIs) and perform design activities
• Undertake system configuration, operational and engineering activities
• Drive Technical relationship with vendors in the areas of product responsibility, benchmarking, and performance
• Support RFQ based technical assessments.
• Execute and plan trials

We are looking for you if you have

• Minimum 2+ years of telecommunication experience
• 2G/3G/4G(LTE)/5G Mobile Technologies understanding (functionalities and standards)
• Experience in network design, performance, optimization and planning of 2G/3G/4G(LTE)/5G technologies.
• Experience in network management and  L2/L3 support and debugging of 2G/3G/4G(LTE)/5G technologies
• Experience with system integration of radio HW and SW components  
• Excellent analytical skills (listening, questioning, challenging etc.)
• Able to provide strong leadership within a multinational, multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English to facilitate communication with colleagues and external parties
• Graduate degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
