Role Purpose

The Social Media Strategist sits within the Brand Performance team, a team responsible for driving digital awareness and conversion. This role will suit someone who is comfortable with developing highly creative social media marketing campaigns and has demonstrated the ability to think big and implement innovative ideas in ways that create significant social sharing and PR attention. As one of the biggest brands in the country, this role will give you the opportunity to be the voice of Vodafone Ireland, telling our stories of both product and purpose on a social scale. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Strong understanding of how to use social media to strategically build brand awareness
  • Work with agencies, publishers, platforms (directly and indirectly) and other partners with the goal to find fast, creative and efficient ways to build, execute and measure innovative social media marketing plans that connect with customers, maximise engagement and create sharing, talkability and advocacy
  • Ability to create and execute robust and engaging social concepts which drive attention, whilst integrating with overall brand campaigns
  • Ability to brief, inspire and collaborate with external creative agencies
  • Provide inspirational and creative thought leadership on ways to reach and gain attention of target audiences
  • Build relationships with key online publishers (Google, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok) to deeply understand ad platforms and identify opportunities to be first mover in this space
  • Comfortable working with many internal and senior stakeholders across Ireland and Vodafone Group (web team, product, PR and Vodafone Foundation) 
  • Be the social voice for Vodafone, championing our social strategy within the organisation
  • Develop and expand influencer outreach efforts
  • Establish goals and clearly defined metrics of success to measure the quality of content, audience growth, engagement, and content reach
  • Compile performance reports for management along with demonstrating latest social trends
  • Manage a substantial social budget in line with the overall marketing spend

We are looking for you if you have;

Essential

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working on B2C and B2B social media campaigns and content development
  • Understanding use of brand marketing guidelines
  • Knowledge of all social platform Ad manager tools
  • Knowledge of all social platform reporting tools

Desirable

  • Experience with video editing and photoshop experience a plus
