Who you are:

You are a strong standout colleague with a focus on delivering a first class service to our customers. You are passionate about business partnering, and have previous experience in controlling budgets. In this role you will be a partner to the Technology Director, management team & business division in relation to Technology Costs (site rentals, support and maintenance, people, other), supporting them with analysis and advice. You will provide financial influence to commercial decision making and the target setting process. 
 

Your Team:

This role will report to the Technology Business Partner and will work with the Technology business unit, the Technology Leadership Team, and specific cost centre owners.
 

The next challenge for you:

 

Business Partnering 
•    Opex Business Partner to the Technology Director and management team, supporting and advising them on all opex matters as well as having input into cost strategy
•    Ownership of c. €90m of Opex cost across spend in Support and Maintenance, Site Rentals, People cost, and other
•    Support business owners & Finance on business cases, cost deep dives & cost transformation initiatives
•    Oversee transition of site rental payment process to Share Service Centre and management of ongoing costs and payment process locally 
•    Work closely with Cost Centre Owners on optimisation opportunities

 

Cost Transformation
•    Monthly analysis of costs with related drivers & KPI’s, whilst liaising with shared service centre & business, to understand the full year & future impact
•    Support, own & drive cost transformation in Technology through deep dives to identify, analyse, propose & support implementation of cost savings & efficiency initiatives
•    Bring drive and creativity to cost challenges, challenging and supporting the business to go above and beyond cost targets
•    Monthly/bi-monthly reviews with cost centre managers to ensure they are aware of their current performance and any corrective actions needed
•    Benchmark main KPIs vs other OpCos and other industry benchmarks to look for opportunities to optimise expenditure
•    Preparation of ad hoc reports, analysis and commentary as required, including total company performance updates to the Senior Leadership Team

 

Financial forecasting & Planning
•    Ownership and development of forecasting models and process for all Technology cost lines, including end deliverable; from driving bottoms up forecasting from business to CFO & Director sign-off 
•    Prepare robust & challenging cost forecasts in conjunction with business owners
•    Build bottom up planning models to include cost driver drivers & trend analysis where appropriate

What you need:

•    Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 3+ years PQE
•    Business Partnering Experience required
•    Planning, forecasting and budgeting experience
•    Previous financial modelling experience
•    Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Excel front ends
•    Strong Interpersonal & Communication skills

What else should you demonstrate:

•    Understanding of mobile telecoms market and revenue drivers
•    Working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion Enterprise and Essbase would be advantageous.
