Role description

The Fixed and Convergence Team develops Routers as well as Services for our broadband customers together with user-centric mobile Apps enabling management of the home connectivity in a simplistic and intuitive manner.

As a UX/UI Designer you will deliver UX/UI concepts covering personas, storyboards, customer journey maps, user flows, wireframes and graphical assets by translating complex technology into customer friendly and intuitive customer journeys following Vodafone Group UX/UI frameworks as well as state of the art UX paradigms. 

The UX/UI Designer will closely collaborate with our research teams to utilise our variety of testing techniques to inform and validate the design direction.

With us you will

•    Create comprehensive UX/UI concepts covering personas, storyboards, customer journey maps, user flows, wireframes as well as graphical assets
•    Accountable for all UX/UI design aspects within a squad working under the leadership of the Product Owner and with a wide range of people from across the business to understand and interpret requirements, identify opportunities, communicate design strategy and rationale and seek approvals.
•    Deliver E2E designs and prototypes, create use cases and interactive patterns within modular design systems and visualize concepts
•    Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail, and when to opt for low-fi quality
•    Lead market/customer research and concept validation including the preparation of alternative UX/UI proposals as well as their visualization required for validation
 

Apply if you have

•    Candidates must have a degree in design, design management, psychology, human-computer interaction or equivalent and an excellent portfolio to demonstrate their UX/UI design skills.

•    Experienced in usage of Sketch, Abstract, Zeplin and Invision
•    Overall work experience of at least 8 years in comparable roles within the IT/Telecommunications industry
•    At least 5+ years’ experience in User Experience in a product and/or service development environment
•    Demonstrated experience in working in virtual cross-functional teams applying agile methodologies within a fast-moving environment
•    User Experience design skills – including interaction and Information Architecture design, psychology and user-centered design principles – combined with a strong and consistent user focus demonstrated through putting the users and their needs ahead of features and technology
•    Strong and consistent user focus, demonstrated through putting the user and their needs ahead of features and technology. 
•    Technology grounding - sufficient high-level understanding to allow informed assessment of likely technology and terminal impact on User Experience design. Responsible for watching and reporting trends.
•    Seniority in sense of communication with stakeholders at different hierarchy levels
