Role purpose:

Within Vodafone’s Cloud & Security business, and our venture with IBM, “delivering with style” needs to be the beating heart of our operations as we look to delight customers with digital solutions that transform their businesses.

 

With us you will

  • Take accountability for a portfolio of customer deliveries and ensure the successful delivery of customer solutions, meeting the requirements, timescales, quality and cost demanded by the customer contract
  • In collaboration with Vodafone/IBM, and leveraging digital capabilities support the establishment, operation and improvement of a framework that governs customer solution deliveries.
  • Take responsibility, at a senior level,  for delivery success and setting targets, monitoring performance and managing the deliveries in an efficient and effective manner
  • Support the development and operationalise the communication framework to ensure customers and internal stakeholders are aware of the status of each delivery.
  • Structure the required escalation and intervention mechanisms that will enable the rapid remediation of any customer deliveries that are forecast, or are already, off-track.
  • Collaborate with deal and commercial teams to shape deliveries to ensure any inputs from Vodafone and IBM are commercially viable and support the win strategy on the deal.
  • Participate in key customer deals so that deliveries are shaped and understood pre-sales to ensure successful post-sales delivery.  Includes delivery oversight prior to signature to confirm the scope is deliverable to the required time and cost.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Vodafone & IBM.

 

Apply if you have

  • Managing large scale IT Service Delivery functions.  Experience in Europe essential; global experience desirable
  • Experienced with all aspects of complex project and programme delivery, especially in an out-sourced environment.
  • Running delivery in a client facing, commercial environment is essential.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make and take responsibility for sound and far reaching decisions on major technical and service delivery issues
  • Commercial and contractually astute and therefore able to direct teams to secure Vodafone’s best interests whilst recognising the client’s position.
  • Has the ability to deliver an efficient and digitised operational environement.
  • Shows a thorough understanding of applicable project and programme management and/or operational management standards and procedures including technical, quality, safety and financial matters across all areas of delivery.  Including Prince, MSP and other delivery frameworks.
