Regulatory Affairs Manager
Home Office / Frankfurt

Role purpose:

To provide expert regulatory advice and compliance support to Vodafone Business. The role reports into the Regulatory Affairs lead in Vodafone Business. You will be involved in the development of business customers focused products and will provide professional regulatory compliance advice when it comes to new technologies and service. Analysing new regulation and turning this into business guidance is an important part as well. We are on a journey to digitise our processes and want you to use existing tools and to contribute to new developments. You should expect to work with the Risk & Compliance department, with the legal department, with product development, with customer facing teams and a wider community of experts on telecoms regulations, privacy and security/law enforcement. Vodafone Business is an expanding part of Vodafone Group and role-holders will have visibility and will get involved in developing industry leading total communications services for Vodafone’s top business customers globally. 


With us you will:

  • Own regulatory support and advice to Enterprise products (functional support).
  • Support selected customer projects, demanding special advice around bespoke solutions.
  • Responsible for regulatory risk assessments to support business driven Risk Decisions.
  • Monitoring and analysing regulatory developments for a defined region.
  • Contributing to the further development of the regulatory compliance processes and framework towards a digital Vodafone Business.

Apply if you have:

  • Law Degree, Economics Degree or suitable analytical degree (or equivalent) accompanied by relevant experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience with advising on communications regulations or dealing with regulatory affairs in the communications industry.
  • Technical knowledge: Detailed knowledge of telecoms regulations and experience with legal/regulatory compliance activities, ideally including the legal framework on law enforcement.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex legal/regulatory requirements into clear business messages.
  • Interest to put attention to detail, where required, with a mind-set for compliance and the wider risk framework.
  • Organisational skills: Proven excellent organizational and forward planning skills. Ability to prioritize workload and manage deadlines.
  • Fluent in English and another language
