Principal Delivery Manager 


Role purpose:
Manage the NVI Delivery cluster, accountable for the detailed design, implementation, dimensioning, execution and optimization of the Network Virtualized Infrastructure (NVI) as well as the Orchestration and CaaS Infrastructures serving all NW Domains, in each of the cluster countries. (One Large and 2-3 others) Ensure that emergency handling addressing all geographies within the cluster, in a harmonized and effective manner, for the benefit of all customers in Europe nage all the relevant relationships with the local stakeholders up to and including CNO in the countries as well as with Group Entities one (VBP&S, CP&S, GNO, VCI …), in particular operations. Collaborating with local teams for the implementation of network capacity management or configuration activities, special projects or the handling of emergency situations. Be accountable for the continuous improvement through the industrialization and thedigitalization of the design-to-delivery process within the team and provide a comprehensive performance analysis and development plan. Build the required environment to create an ambitious and high performing team. Increasing performance and capabilities while harmonising, and simplifying the NVI landscape across the countries.


With us you will

  • Management of the engineering & delivery team dealing with NVI delivery across Europe
  1. Being accountable of detailed design, implementation, optimization, and delivery of Network Virtual Infrastructure to offer best data experience.
  2. Being accountable for all performance optimisation activities. 
  3. Guaranteeing delivery of all local initiatives according to agreed upon SLA. 
  4. Deliver resilient and secure Virtual Infrastructure.

 

  • Ownership and maintenance of the country NVI detailed Level Design including dimensioning and performance of the end-to-end chain. 
  • Country specific implementation of the VINO Evolution Plan, according to the European strategy and roadmap 
  • Direct management of the stakeholders within the European structure
  1. Defining, planning and scheduling all NVI network activities and interventions 
  2. Ensuring state of the art topology/architecture to support our “best NW “ claim through scalable, resilient and secure NW solutions 
  3. Mobilising and coordinating all required engineering efforts in case of emergencies related (operational or security threat) to Network Virtual Infrastructure.

 

  • Management of the VINO delivery budget execution in the countries and active promotion of benchmarking across countries, to enable alignment with best practises while harmonising NVI designs.


Apply if you have:

  • Deep operational and Technical experience with ability to manage the execution challenges and specificities 
  • Capable of building a true end-2-end view and understanding of virtualized networks and convergence opportunities.
  • Identifying/understanding the best opportunities for in country improvements within VINO, in line with Europe strategy, analysing potential implications and elaborating concrete risk mitigation strategy. 
  • Strong established relationships with key stakeholders in the European countries, namely with local operational and commercial/demand teams. 
  • Strong people management and motivation skills. Able to build a team very focused on specific market issues and challenges, but also open and able to execute a European strategy for NVI.

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

  • Fluent German & English language skills
  • University degree: telecommunication degree, 5 years of experience. 
  • Broad and deep technological background in NFV & VNF networks and architectures 
  • Solid, proven knowledge of operational processes and industrialization techniques (mandatory: Kanban, optional: agile and ITIL) 
  • Good stakeholders management 
  • Strong performance & customer orientation 
  • Ability to work across multi-functional and cultural boundaries to deliver results/change 
  • Leadership and management to build high performing teams 
  • Budget management/execution experience
  • Established networking or closeness with other engineering domains also deeply impacting performance such as transmission, IP, etc.
