Location: Düsseldorf, Germany

Role purpose:
The Operational Intelligence Big Data architecture collects and processes 1.5 billion events per day for analytics to deliver best in class consumer services. The architecture is the foundation for building Digital services and enables data driven decision. 
The Operational Intelligence Big Data Architecture covers on premises and cloud based self-service solutions for data collection, integration, storage, transformation, exploration and analytics including Machine Learning. 
The purpose of this role is to help shape the architecture and roadmap for all aspects of the Data Analytics platform. You'll be engaging with our stakeholders to provide architectural input and provide technical guidance to software developers and data engineers for analytics projects. 

The Junior Analytics Architect will support the Senior Analytics Architect who acts as a lead functional and technical representative for the Operational Intelligence.  The Junior Analytics Architect is gathering information and proposing solutions, therefore, strong analytical, functional, technical and communication skills are imperative for this role. 
The Junior Analytics Architect can represent the SDK developers when working with other Architects and Technical stakeholders.  


With us you will:
•    Works in close cooperation with product owners to interpret client business challenges and technical issues and effectively communicate how a solution will align to their needs and requirements
•    Works in close cooperation with software developers, data engineers and DevOps and Systems Architect; leading to the High-Level Design
•    Enable solution opportunities by identifying the requirements directly from the Vodafone Group Function/Local /Partner markets or by proactively understanding their needs.  
•    Able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences.
•    Delivery of products - support the design and delivery of respective portfolio as aligned with Group Functions and local markets 
•    Product and service development – Build new products and new features to existing ones, based on existing capabilities, vendors or developing new ones.
•    Identifies emerging technologies and best practises to define future architecture strategies and evolution roadmaps

 

Apply if you have:
•    Must have a balanced mix of technical and business skills.
•    Potential to design large distributed & scalable Big Data Analytics architecture solutions 
•    First experience with cross platform architecture (Web, Android, iOS, ReactNative), cloud technologies and data pipelines Excellent Knowledge of Big Data Analytics solutions and architectures
•    Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architectures (i.e. cloud,  virtualization, storage, API, client libraries, micro-services)
•    Knowledge of Architecture best practices and design patterns.
•    Familiar with design and development tools, and capable of suggesting new tools/process.
•    Passionate about simple and clean SW architectures
•    Can apply a range of data analytics techniques
•    Should have a very good analytical, consultative and problem-solving mind-set, and an influential personality capable of quickly building rapport and credibility with teams.
•    Good communication skills (in an international distributed team) and capacity to learn and work independently
Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
•    Related qualification in mobile technology, digital products, or IT 
•    Technical degree level (minimum candidate for bachelor of science)
