IoT Global Service Architect

Role Purpose:
As the Global Leader in IoT, we need a highly experienced pre-sales professional to join our team of Global Service Architects. For this enterprise customer-facing role, you will focus on complex & strategic IoT opportunities whilst driving efficient handling of standard IoT solution types. As the subject matter expert for all service assurance considerations on a sales opportunity from pre-sales, through to contract signature your responsibilities will include;

  • Lead / attend customer pre-sales workshops covering all non-technical, service assurance elements –including all key ITIL functions: service support model, billing model, ordering and logistics and reporting.
  • Submit proactive and reactive (RFP, RFI, RFQ) bid input and partake in customer bid workshops – virtually/in-person
  • Recommend appropriate service propositions to customers in the pre-sales phase and support internally through bid and governance phase to customer proposal delivery
  • Support customer contract & SLA negotiation meetings
  • Attend customer on-boarding workshops on complex deals, where a handover of complex service model items to delivery is needed
  • Confirm the design/implementation of customer SLA reporting during pre-sales phase
  • Attend ad-hoc internal & external pre-sales meetings as subject matter expert
  • Identify service development opportunities – over and above standard models
  • Work with Product Management to contribute to on-going enhancement of the IoT global service catalogue of support services and related processes

  • Relationship building: Contribution in developing customer relationships from cost-focused closed question / RFx discussions, to a business partnership; understanding customer service needs on a strategic level. 
  • Direct influence as service authority, on growing the service and operational scope, where appropriate, to meet customer needs, exceeding expectations and increasing service revenue. 
  • Positive feedback: Maintain a professional and responsive relationship with the customer, measured through customer feedback on sales engagements. 
  • Service Authority: Understand contractual service obligations and ensure Vodafone has capability to deliver against them. 
  • Business ownership: Demonstrate an understanding of customer business challenges/pain, maybe market-specific and design best service assurance model.

Apply if you have:

  • 6-8+ years’ experience in corporate customer service design, management and or operations, ideally in an Outsourcer or large Service Provider environment. 
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of commercial models and the ability to craft profitable services. 
  • Significant experience in working in multiple teams on a direct or virtual basis. 
  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure and Telecommunication Networks. o Fixed, Mobile (3G, 4G, 5G, NBIoT etc… 
  • In-depth problem solving skills
