Role purpose:

The Global Account Manager (GAM) is accountable for overall VGE relationship management up to 6-10 of VGE CE designated global clients. The role is focused on managing the account to drive profitable and long-term revenue growth as well as customer satisfaction. This means to take care of an effective service delivery, protection/renewal of existing business, the identification of major new sales opportunities as well as projects to emphasis the vertical approach and support discussions around digitalization.

The Global Account Manager leads (non-disciplinary) client-focused account teams. These teams include National Account Managers in the different VGE regions, solution sales and overlay sales functions, commercial solution and service functions depending upon the size of the customer account and the complexity of their relationship with VGE.


With us you will:

  • Ensures delivery of all financial targets including revenue, voice and data connections, focus products and solutions, market share and net margin contribution
  • Ensures virtual team works collaboratively with all other functions within Vodafone to drive the Vodafone Global Enterprise agenda and ensure alignment
  • Responsibility for strategy development and account planning – inclusive enhance account development plans for designated global clients.
  • Steers diferent National Accountmanagers, Overlay,  Solution Sales, Pre-Sales and Delivery functions to ensure international and national strategies are aligned and to the customers expectaions are met.
  • Key contact for developing strong one-to-one long term customer relationships with key decision makers and influencers up to C-Level. Setting up new buying center relationships within the customers’ organisations.
  • Partner with customer fulfilment and pre- and post- sales areas to ensure seamless introduction of new products and services.
  • Leads opportunity-driven cross-functional account teams globaly.
  • Guide the global account team and secure customer representation at VGE sounding boards such as Customer Advisory Board (CAB) and other major hospitality events.

Apply if you have:

  • 8 yrs+ experience in Key Account Management and Solutions Sales, thereof 3 yrs+ with global responsibility
  • Manage and establish diverse global customer relationships (including C-Level) and increase buying center to gain additional business
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at C-level
  • Profound work experience in Telecommunications / IT Industry
  • Good know-how of selling Global IP-VPN, Cloud & Hosting Services, IOT & additional Services – building up vertical value propositions for  responsible customers
  • Good understanding of certain industries (preferred Retail & FMCG) to support none-core solution selling
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (negotiation level)
