Role purpose:

The Digital Solution Architect (DSA) is a customer focused solution design role that is responsible for customer requirements capture, solution design and defining the cost of customer solutions. The DSA will be expected to attend as and when required customer meetings at the customer, partner or Vodafone location. You will understand the customer requirements and design solutions leveraging multi-cloud services from partners (that include IBM plus others) and as and when required to include Vodafone networking, mobile and IoT services.  The DSA will work in close collaboration with solution and service architects and designers from partners (like IBM) as well as Vodafone to create solutions for customers.  The DSA will design solutions that deliver to customers’ expectations and ensure the technical solution links to the cost case for proposal and contract.  You will be ambitious, innovation hungry with a customer first mentality. You will have a good balance of technical and commercial acumen. You will also support customer solution development embracing new technologies and economic models as and when required.

 

With us you will

  • To create, develop, design and describe enterprise customer solutions in line with the evolving business needs of Vodafone.
  • Maintain communications with the customer through the solutioning process to ensure that dates for completion and any issues understood, captured and agreed.
  • Engage with key partner (for example IBM) and Vodafone architects to address customer solution requirements with their expertise and solutions.
  • Ensure that the technical solution links to the cost case requirements in the proposal and contract.

Apply if you have

  • 2+ years’ experience in dealing with corporate customers in a solution design or consultancy role.
  • Experience of operating at a management level with a record of accomplishment in identifying, influencing and negotiating with key decision makers.
  • Experience in On-Premise and Off-Premise Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Cloud design with knowledge in at least one of the following areas: VMware, Storage, LAN, SD-WAN, IoT, Security, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google, and IBM. 
  • Experience of operating in an ITIL, eTOM or TOGA, Design Thinking environment, with a good understanding of business principles, practices advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills (English and German), both written and verbal, with proven ability to produce quality documentation to support bid generation and contractual delivery.
