Category Manager Content
Location Luxembourg, HM Jonathan Bennet

As a Category Manager Content you will be working as part of a newly established central Content procurement team, reporting to a Principal Global Category Manager. Your responsibility as part of the team will be to co-manage Vodafone’s Content acquisition globally, with responsibility for certain types of Content (e.g. linear TV, video on demand etc.) and/or providers and/or geographies. You will concentrate to a large extent on the German market. The Content scope currently covers 12+ markets with a total annual spend of over €1 billion and it is expected to grow further in the coming years.
You will
•    Develop with the team the Content acquisition/sourcing strategies and plans and support the global/local Content business strategy, particularly in Germany
•    Ensure timely execution of agreed sourcing projects in order to deliver agreed target outcomes 
•    Negotiate commercial terms & conditions and contracts with major Content providers to deliver measurable benefits to local markets
•    Deliver key financial targets such as centralised spend %, savings and working capital improvements
•    Maintain accurate global Content spend, vendor and contract data, generate and provide insight through in-depth analytics
•    Help ensure compliance with relevant policies such as the Buying Code, Delegations of Authority and Procure-to-Pay
•    Perform the ongoing commercial management of selected central Content contracts including the monitoring of obligations, rights, critical dates, service credits, escalations, commercial disputes and regular business reviews
•    Provide relevant inputs into Content business strategies, roadmaps, plans and budgeting & forecasting process

•    Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with external partners ranging from short term tactical engagements to long term strategic partnerships
•    Ambition to develop and grow self together with a new business 
•    Work experience outside of your home country is an advantage
You must have…
•    University or college degree (Master’s/MBA preferred)
•    Content acquisition/sourcing experience in either Linear TV, Video-on-Demand, or Over-the-Top in the German is an absolute must
•    A proven track record of successfully negotiating Content acquisition deals 
•    Experience in the telecom or digital entertainment industry or a previous role at a Content provider
•    Good understanding of sourcing and procurement disciplines, including processes and tools
•    Well organised with solid project management skills and strong commercial mindset, financial acumen and proven negotiation skills
•    Dedication to delivering outstanding service to challenging internal customers
•    Ability to communicate excellently both verbally and in writing in English and German is a must #groupresourcing
