Role purpose: 

This role is part of the internal IT team at Vodafone Shared Services’ location in Egypt. The IT Operations  is a hands-on technical expert implementing and monitoring on-site Information Security.
The role collaborates closely with the central Shared services IT & Local verticals  within VSS Office to ensure that the VSS Operations are implemented in the Egyptian offices.
The role will manage overall IT operations and is accountable for the effective and successful management of Systems, productivity, quality control & measures as established and set for the Operations Department. Ensure safe and efficient IT operations. Serve as a company representative on Operations issues. Enhance the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting and looks for opportunities to expand systems. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies and applicable laws, the role will also include the below responsibilities:
-    Ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
-    Improving operational management systems, processes and best practices
-     Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures
-    Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 
-    Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
-    Formulate strategic and operational objectives
-    Support with the Operations Management team to provide input for the VSS Technology wide performance and demand management 
-    Act as the interface between the final service providers and the local business & handle escalations
-    Recruit, train and supervise staff 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
-    Practical experience of working in an Information Technology Operations or IT Systems within an international IT Service organisation
-    Practical experience in Risk Management related to IT Services
-    Strong knowledge of Information technology Front End/Back End systems such as Windows OS, Servers, Firewalls, Data network infrastructure 
-    Strong awareness of standards and certificates such as: ISO 20000, ISO27001, CCNA, MCSA
-    Strong awareness of standards related to Business Continuity

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
-    5+ years of experience in IT Information Technology Operations Field
-   Alexandria resident is preferable

-    ITIL Foundation Certificate is a must
-    Excellent English language communication
-    MCSE Certificate is a must
-    CCNA, CCNP Certificate is a plus
