Business Manager-UC&C
Paddington or Newbury

 

The UC&C Line of Business (LoB) exists to drive profitable growth across a €3bn global Unified Communications and Connectivity and €1bn global Mobility portfolio. The portfolio includes flagship products, which are central to the execution of Vodafone’s Enterprise strategy. 

 

The UC&C team is looking for a self-driven Business Manager that will support the Director of the team in the day-to-day running of the UC&C function. You’ll have accountability for a wide and varied range of ad-hoc strategic projects and presentations. You’ll also produce all UC&C executive reporting and related materials, while coordinating UC&C’s inputs for the ELT. 

 

You’ll work closely with the Director of UC&C as well as the wider leadership team and provide indispensable counsel and trusted advice as we execute on out strategy.

What will you be doing?


•    Leading key business planning activities including budgeting / forecasting – working closely with Finance and Programme Leads 
•    Taking accountability for all ExCo level communications / planning activity to support strategic initiatives within the organisation building close working relationships across UC&C functional teams 
•    Ensuring the UC&C Director is fully supported and prepared, owning the development of all necessary briefings, presentations, reports and relevant materials, delivered to time and of high quality 
•    Supporting the wider UC&C Leadership team as required; ensure the smooth running of the UC&C function with accountability for team meetings, management and closure of UC&C action logs, and act as the rigorous quality control point across UC&C 
•    Providing ad-hoc commercial and strategic analysis support for a variety of business development and growth opportunities, working across UC&C at up to SLT level 
•    Leading development and delivery of internal communications plan across UC&C 
•    Taking accountability for creation and tracking of UC&C prioritised work-plan, which is linked to key objectives and aligned with the UC&C strategy 


Who are we looking for?

 
•    Financial, portfolio and programme level planning expertise and a high level of commercial and business acumen to ensure the success and robustness of ExCo level proposals 
•    Ability to engage across the organisation at all levels, & understand functional operational models of Vodafone. 
•    Ability to multi-task and prioritise across a range of conflicting interests, dealing with rapidly evolving priorities 
•    Ability to bring people together, deal with ambiguity and find ways forward. Strength of character to say how things really are whilst always driving for a positive outcome 
•    Excellent communication skills and experience in senior stakeholder management (up to C-level)
