Vendor Management Lead ( Logistics Services and Aftersale)


Your role in a nutshell: 
The role is positioned within Vodafone Business, which is a unique and complex area of Vodafone, combining its own sales & support teams in Group to work alongside the Vodafone Operating Companies to collectively achieve success.  Working in this complex, cross functional, matrix environment, success will be achieved by driving a culture of attention to detail to deliver strong, clear messaging to multiple stakeholder groups across all levels of the organisation and our customers. 


As a Vendor Management Lead you will manage the commercial relationship with multi-national logistics providers, including the building relationship with the biggest Supplier based in USA. You will drive Supplier negotiations, monitor Supplier’s performance and report it to Vodafone Business, while analysing opportunities for Vodafone and developing the commercial/business models that support Vodafone Strategy execution across the entire footprint. In this role you will also identify and steer the best terms and conditions with the suppliers, delivering a holistic logistic commercial strategy. You will work closely with the external partners and internally with the supply chain teams and different Vodafone Group departments (VGE, Group Legal & Finance).

Why you will love your job:
•   Build and maintain relationships with Suppliers (transportation carriers, warehouse providers, after-sales providers, system-integrators, customization providers)  
•   Contract management and compliance based on agreement with Vodafone Business:
      - Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
      - Resolve disputes or conflict resolution, in case of Contracts escalations
      - Contracts Administrating, incl. updating and issuing contract amendments, developing Contract templates to ensure that all records are accurate and up to date  
•   Driving efficiency with supplier through constant review and issue resolution, as well as Drive Logistics Improvement initiatives to optimise the total cost of ownership for Vodafone, performing bottom-up savings calculation & savings tracking and ensure programs are delivered within budget constraints Ad-hoc financial reporting to monitor supplier spend and support financial reconciliations, auditing invoice versus supplier contract rates
•   Managing bidding/tendering processes, incl. cost and price analysis with preparing recommendation on Logistics Service Provider selection
•   Develop category driven Logistics Solutions and Logistic processes and drive standardization, consolidation and effectively enforce centralization of contracts/processes
•   Interact with key senior stakeholders across the business to build and leverage strong and credible relationships in order to maximize overall delivery

What you will bring to the team:
•    Fluency in English
•    Preferably 5+ years of procurement and logistics operations experience
•    Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the industry in order to contribute to the saving objectives of the SCM by monitoring contractual risks and ensuring minimal value leakage with key suppliers in line with Commercial Contract Management principles
•    Ability to support centrally led complex and high value negotiations as well as lead local tactical negotiations by applying creative models, leveraging various cost programs and using various behavioural techniques to achieve best commercial outcome for Vodafone
•    Robust understanding of business, ability to identify and prioritise stakeholders, build sustainable relationships to drive increased business performance and best value outcomes
•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
•    Detail and result oriented, open to change and customer focused
•    Ability to work in teams with good communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical skills
