Your role in a nutshell: 
The team you would closely work with, Group Design Studio, is a global Centre of Excellence providing Vodafone Group and local markets with strategic design guidance and with a vision to “design innovative experiences people love and connect with”. We strive for experience excellence using the double diamond design methodology and principles. The team collaborates with product, marketing, and technology to increase the value we bring to both our customers and our business. 

As a UX Research Lead, you will be a senior member of a team of user experience researchers and service designers, working closely with UX and UI designers, product owners and managers, and leaders in digital, customer operations, and consumer services globally.
Your role will be to help keep our users at the centre of every product, service, and experience we design. You will lead, plan, co-ordinate, execute, and deliver a wide range of user research, testing and measurement activities across all phases of the design lifecycle, from ideation through to launch, overseeing projects locally in the UK and in Vodafone markets worldwide.

 
What your job will entail:
•    Lead, plan, co-ordinate, execute and deliver user research, testing and measurement activities that span the full design lifecycle
•    Identify and answer user research questions on our most strategic products and services
•    Make recommendations on user research methodologies, timescales, resources and budgets required to deliver effective research and meaningful insights
•    Recommend ways to tangibly improve our customer and user experience
•    Upskill colleagues in user research and promoting the application of user research internally
•    Ensure we apply cutting-edge research methods.

 

Core requirements what you will bring to the team:
•    Fluent English (this is crucial as your direct team members you will be working with on a daily basis are going to be from the UK)
•    5+ years of experience in a User Experience Research role, ideally with both industry and agency experience
•    Practical experience running and moderating user research as well as managing others (e.g. suppliers or internal staff) to run/moderate user research
•    Experience with different types of user research approaches (including moderated, unmoderated,  summative, formative, qualitative, quantitative) and methodologies (e.g. user testing, card sorting, diary studies, focus groups, depth interviews, surveys)
•    Excellent communication skills (written and formal presentations in English)
•    Excellent stakeholder management skills
•    Experience in mentoring junior/medior team members
•    Great team player, ability to collaborate with other team members on a project effectively
•    Strong project management skills with the ability to manage several projects at one time, ability to draft project plans and see them through
