Your place in the team
As a System Designer and Tester, you will work on business-critical Vodafone projects focusing on web developments with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our products evolve. We need our people to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full stack as we continue to push technology forward within Vodafone Europe.

You will be involved in the following tasks
•    Analyze existing IT systems and business models in order to enable quality-software enhancements and the reusability of existing products
•    Be aware of the configuration capabilities available for a certain product, support configuration change execution
•    Translate high-level project requirements and business ideas into detailed design documents (user stories or other requirements’ specification) by defining non-functional, operational, and quality requirements for less complex solutions while also facilitating solution compliance to security, privacy, and regulatory needs
•    Design scalable, resilient and secure applications according to actual group design principles, applying the latest industry standards, manage technical debt and technology obsolescence at solution level
•    Visualize solutions (e.g., create sequence diagrams), validate and verify solution requirements
•    Identify options for potential enhancements and assess them for both technical and business suitability
•    Work closely with developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction, update and support them on change control and system updates
•    Have a decent understanding on each application component required to deliver a new product or a product enhancement
•    Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables with the support of senior colleagues
•    Estimate the design effort by requirements and projects
•    Work in teams using various development methodologies – agile (SCRUM, KANBAN), waterfall.
•    Support automated testing activities (automated end-to-end testing, manual functional end user testing, performance testing and security testing)
•    Design test cases and test steps
•    Execute manual test cases
•    Support the operational teams, facilitate the hand-over of delivered applications
•    Investigate and fix defects and incidents during development and application lifecycle
•    Manage and validate vendor deliverables (including financial proposals and quotations) in order to achieve goals of requirement compliance, quality, speed and efficiency

We are looking for you if you have
•    Bachelor’s degree in the fields of engineering or natural/applied sciences 
•    At least 3 years of experience in IT development industry
•    Have a demonstrated background in business analysis 
•    Familiarity of agile and other software development methodologies
•    Basic knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, XML, jQuery, etc.) and microservices (mainly written in Java), familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
•    Demonstrate decent knowledge on web application design
•    Understand the roles of all infrastructural components (e.g., loadbalancing, web application firewalls, proxy services, etc.)
•    Experience with SOAP and REST web services (capability of delivering swagger compliant APIs)
•    Basic understanding of CI/CD supporting tools
•    Decent presentation and negotiation skills
•    Innovative and proactive approach
•    Excellent analytical skills
•    Great communication skills both in written and verbal Hungarian and English
