Strategic Operations Programmes Lead

 

Your role in a nutshell: 
Within Device Operations Supply Chain function, the Lead for Strategic Operations Programmes is accountable for the set-up, delivery and performance measurement of cross-functional, complex and strategic to SLT level projects in the area of Device Operations, projects with financial impact on the company (such as: working capital improvement, efficiency gains, automation and process rationalisation). Moreover, the role holder will play a key role in implementation and monitoring of Operations Team governance and act as vertical facilitator of Agile Ways of Working across Operations teams in VPC (Vodafone’s  procurement and supply chain centre of excellence), VOIS (Vodafone Shared Service Centre), Local Markets (Vodafone operating companies worldwide) and suppliers.

•    Successfully engages in multiple cross-functional Operations projects simultaneously (such as roll-out of Demand and Supply Planning Tool or customer device lifecycle management project)
•    Ensures proper project setup, carefully involves necessary stakeholders (internal and external) and ensures compliance with the Kanban & Agile methodology 
•    Ensure proper and regular usage of tools, like project charter, meeting minutes, risk management tool, project timing, workshops, etc.
•    Drive and challenge project team on their assumptions of how the project will be successfully executed
•    Deep understanding of business need, business case (both benefits, expenses, investments) operational requirements and technical solutions
•    Ensures project transparency via visible leadership and proactive communication
•    Makes decision regarding issue categorization and necessary escalation
•    Provides e2e project reporting (documentation according to internal rules, progress reports and status updates, project status senior management team.
•    Supports Operations Team governance and internal communication (team meetings, team presentations, regular management reporting, etc.)
•    Supports other functions in project management


What you will bring to the team:
•    Proficient English language knowledge
•    Practical knowledge of project management, ideally using the Agile and Kanban Methodology
•    Good understanding of financial basics, enabling successful calculation and following-through of project business cases
•    Microsoft Office 365 including advanced Power Point and Excel skills 
•    Experience in methods and concepts of complex transformation programmes, as well as in programme and project management 
•    Able to act in a flexible, agile way, with changing priorities and multiple relevant topics at the same time
•    Confidence to have discussions with senior leaders, with good communication skills and proficient ways of expressing
•    Able to work independently, quickly understand the core of the subject and driving the necessary actions / resolution
