Social Media Specialist

 

Your role in a nutshell: 
This is a role supporting the Group Marketing team in Vodafone Shared Services, in the supply of Social Media expertise. Managing the delivery and analysis of social media activities for Vodafone Business. Requiring interacting with the Group marketing management, agreeing plans, strategies and execution targets.

 

Why you will love your job:
•    Work within the local Social media team & with on-shore stakeholders in Vodafone Group Business to plan and execute social media promotions in a B2B setting for a variety of purposes, ranging from new service launches to partnership announcements. Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Social listening
  • Competitor analysis
  • Community management
  • Identify & create social content in English on platforms like Twitter/LinkedIn/Instagram on the relevant social channels/handles
  • Manage posting of content
  • Track and report on social campaigns regularly back to stakeholders
  • Plan, set up, optimise, report on Paid Social campaigns on selected platforms in cooperation with internal Social Team and the on-shore team
  • Actively participate in forming Group Business’ Social Media Strategy
  • Assist with and grow the company’s Employee Advocacy social programme for employees
  • Work together with creative professionals in the wider team to create engaging visual assets for social

•    Should be able to interpret and advise on a campaign/marketing plan as communicated by the business partner, and break that down into a list of meaningful actions that need to be carried out in a social environment
•    Should offer business partners advise as requested on improvements to campaigns and social targeting based on experience and evidential proof acquired through analysis of results

 

What you will bring to the team:
•    2+ years of experience of working as a Social Media Specialist in a global B2B marketing team in related capacity or at a marketing agency’s social department, where you promoted and developed both paid and organic social campaigns
•    Fluent English, both written and spoken
•    Has a creative instinct, is organised, works well under pressure, and can communicate clearly within a cross-functional and global team environment
•    Strong drive to learn new things
•    Outcome-oriented thinking with an analytical mindset
•    Strong computer skills with experience of key MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint
•    1+ year of experience with working creative professionals
•    Copywriting and additional PPC experience is a plus
