We are looking for a
 Senior Financial Planning Manager
for our Finance Team

Your place in the team


Financial Planning Manager role is responsible for the preparation of budgeting and forecasting, together with the Long-term strategic planning of Vodafone Hungary.  The manager will have overall responsibility for the process, tools and team needed to create realistic and challenging forecasts and budgets, coordinating all stakeholders from both Finance and the Business.  These will be done in line with the requirements of the Vodafone Group, CFO and Head of FP&A.


You will be involved in the following tasks


1.    Annual Planning process

•    Design and implementation of an efficient and controlled process to create Customer numbers, Revenue, Costs, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet budgets.  Ensure that this process is documented and communicated including detailed timetables when necessary. This process will involve people from all parts of the business and good intra-department cooperation

•    Ensure that approved forecasts are effectively communicated to Business

2.    Long Range Planning Processes

•    Owner and runner of the LRP / Strategic Plan process from a Finance point of view
•    Design and update suitable 3 year Plan / Strategic Plan forecast models (combination of the existing bottom-up and top-down models concentrating on YoY growth rates and trends)

3.    Financial Modelling

•    Design of integrated Revenue, Costs, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet planning models that can be used to model our internal and external forecasts. These models will need to be constantly reviewed and updated to reflect the latest drivers of our business
•    Support Strategic Projects with macro modelling of financials (Spectrum, M&A, etc.)

4.    Group submissions & controls

•    Establish a relationship with the Vodafone regional team to ensure Planning team is aware of all planning requirements and are kept up to date on any changes
•    Submission of forecasts and budgets ((Q1 RFC(2+10), Q2 RFC(5+7), Q3 RFC(9+3), DB, LRP, etc.) as required by Vodafone Region/Group
•    Ensure the budget/forecasts are uploaded into SAP and other systems (ECC, HFM, BI)

5.    Managing the team

•    Manage team to ensure that customer numbers, revenue, costs, cash flow, and balance sheet budgets and forecasts are created efficiently and effectively.  
•    Ensure all the team has objectives consistent to achieve the team goals and that they are measured against these. This will involve conducting ongoing

Performance Dialogues

•    Prioritize the work load of the team in order to improve work/life balance and at the same time meet the deadlines of the deliverables
•    Recruit, develop and coach a team of finance professionals who will provide expert Finance partnering to the business
•    Role model the competencies and behaviours required to deliver value added decision support
•    Provide financial direction and guidance in strategic and commercial issues
•    Identify company-wide stakeholders in the new organisation structure and understand requirements
•    Maintain a creative and inclusive work environment
•    Continually assess skills and capability and address performance issues of team members where appropriate

•    Team of 4
•    Stakeholders – all finance and business managers
•    Customers
•        Head of FP&A
•        CFO
•        CEO and GMT
•        Vodafone Regional Finance Team


We are looking for you if you have


•    Four years experience in Business Administration, Finance or related fields. An MBA degree would be an asset.
•    Experienced within a planning or analysis environment
•    Telecommunications experience
•    Up to date IFRS knowledge
•    Business Modelling knowledge
•    Good financial analysis and analytical skills 
•    Excellent presentation skills
•    Good understanding of financial modelling and ability to recommend or make improvements
•    Good commercial judgement and analysis skills 
•    Excellent spoken and written English
•    Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint
•    SAP, Hyperion and Essbase knowledgeAbility to communicate financial things to non-financial people

•    Flexibility & Adaptability - Comfortable working in a very fast-changing and high-pressure environment
•    Relationship Building - Organizational awareness and ability to influence people
