Your place in the team


 
Finance & Strategy is responsible for enabling and improving strategic and financial decision-making across the whole company. The main purpose of this role to maintain senior management with a variety of analytically driven strategic projects to help inform growth and operational strategy. 
This role provides a high level of exposure to the organization's CEO and CFO as well as the board of directors, and an ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating such a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment with minimal guidance. 
 
 

You will be involved in the following tasks

 

Financial Planning


•    Support business unit’s planning process by developing models, giving robust, analytically driven market insights and growth forecasts. 
•    Support the achievement of business plans and forecasts
•    Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability

 

Reporting & analysis, Business Partnering 


•    Conducting analysis on financial and operational results to understand company/competitors performance 
•    Reporting to senior management on the reasons behind the company performance and results
•    Building models and conduct “what if” scenario analyses to identify alternative strategies to improve company performance
•    Support or Lead cross-functional teams to investigate, analyze and make recommendations to leadership on current strategic or operational issues.
•    Partner with Financial Operation, Controlling and Financial Planning teams to identify, design and implement reporting and system changes resulting from new acquisitions or reorganizations – synergy tracking and management
•    Assist with onboarding of newly acquired businesses and work with teams to implement our financial reporting processes and requirements
•    Serve as an internal consultant to the business unit, as required to support the overall strategy
•    Develop and maintain effective relationships with finance team members as well as throughout Vodafone

 

Business Cases


•    Enable data-driven decisioning by working closely as an "analytical arm" to department heads, building business cases that shape key strategies 
•    Support of company-wide crucial processes such as but not limited to: M&A, crucial strategic projects, greenfield investments, ad-hoc analytical support for merger integrations and new business investment appraisals

 
 

We are looking for you if you have


 
•    Graduate qualified with 3+yrs experience gained in large, multi-national organisation
•    English knowledge (verbal and written)
•    Analytical & problem solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions for various situations
•    Ability to develop / coordinate crossfunctional work groups and projects, yielding optimal outcomes
•    Flexibility & the ability to work with shifting priorities; embrace new/evolving responsibilities 
•    Ability to work independently and with teams to further project initiatives
•    IFRS15 knowledge
•    Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
•    Customer oriented attitude 
•    Ability and willingness to deliver in a challenging environment
•    A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization
