Long Term Initiatives Expert 
for our Technology Department

Your place in the team

Responsible for creating mid and long term technology evolution plans, based upon initiatives, on-going programs and industry trends harmonized with VF-HU business and strategy VF Group strategy and financials.
Accountable for technology KPI definition, progression an improvement.


You will be involved in the following tasks

Long-term initiatives and Governance:
•    Follow industry trends, collect best practices and incorporate into VF-HU TD strategy where application 
•    Liaison with VF-Group technology strategy forums to align local and global requirements, trends
•    Liaison with other business units of VF-HU to assure technology evolution fits into the company business strategy
•    Liaison with Technology Business planning manager and team to ensure consistency between technology evolution plan and budget
•    Support the LRP process in close co-operation with Business planning and other TD or organizational units
•    Align Technology roadmap, function plans and business plans – support cross-technology roadmap planning and regular business reviews
•    Owns right End to End KPI monitoring as per Global Technology KPIs, detect negative trends and deliver customer insights based on specific customer surveys and focus group on top of NPS


Midterm technology Evolution:
•    Facilitates creation of VF-HU midterm technology evolution in alignment with long term plans
•    Ensures technology evolution plans is in synchrony with the budgeting cycles
•    Ensures that full consistency is maintained between long term and mid-term technology evolution, as well as short term, on-going initiatives
•    Ensures that changes to the financial and/or company strategy are translated to changes in the early plans and reviews

Strategic initiatives:
•    Identify and develop new strategic concepts for products and Services from Technology perspective and bring the idea to the next level
•    Facilitate the development of any new strategic concepts to ensure execution (act as a project manager until handover to PMO or BAU)
•    In cooperation with enterprise and consumer business units investigate, prepare and manage introduction of future technology enablers to support new business revenue streams
 

Alignment with Vodafone Group Technology:
•    Act as a communication interface with other VF-HU functions and VF Regional Engeneering in technology strategy domain
•    Ensure local IT & network strategy compliance with Group Technology Guidance
•    Cooperates with Group regarding technical information gathering and roadmap alignment 
•    Establish communication channels and information sharing lines with Key suppliers about the latest
•    Technology trends, development
•    Look at best practice across other VF OpCos and the wider industry to leverage learnings


KPIs and quality assurance: 
•    Ensure the production, measurement and achievement of key performance indicators to drive performance across technology department
•    Review all the weekly KPIs across network and IT and engage with relevant teams when improvements are needed 
•    Prepare quality improvement plans and work with relevant stakeholders to carry them out and periodically communicate to business departments to agree on action plans


We are looking for you if you have

•    Educated to degree level in Computer Science or Engineering
•    Strong oral and verbal English knowledge 
•    Minimum 3 years of mobile/fix telecommunication experience, excellent understanding of telecom network or IT aspects
•    Highly motivated autonomous individual with a strategic insight on business needs
•    Strong team player, capable of harmonizing and appreciating need and work of multiple departments and stakeholders
•    Fosters a strong team environment that promotes successful delivery in a fast paced environment 
•    Experience of analysing, assessing and resolving complex technology requirements, problems and issues 
•    Technical expert. Provides thought leadership and defines strategic direction from a technical perspective.
•    Understands, explains and presents complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in a persuasive and convincing manner
•    Strong inter-personal and collaboration skills with the ability to interact at all levels, building and strengthening positive relationships at every touch point
•    Displays Energy and passion to achieve and exceed stretching objectives often delivering within tight timescales

1. In the selection process, we use video interview format that does not require personal appearance
2. The entry date may vary depending on the job, it will be communicated by the designated recruiter
3. You need to appear in person only once when you are hired and need to pick up the necessary equipment for remote work (it will happen in a safe environment, our colleagues wear protective gear during the handover)
4. After getting your laptop and mobile phone, your manager and team members will help you to get to know your tasks via conference calls
