Your role in a nutshell:


The Finance Transformation & Innovation (FT&I) Lean / Agile Manager will support the Principal Project Manager in leading and delivering a programme of strategic initiatives sponsored by the global Director of Finance Operations. The role will be part of a cross organisational team of focused experts, that will transform Group Finance and local markets to achieve simplication and standardisation across key the end to end finance processes . These initiatives will fundamentally change how Finance Operations works today, accelerating towards the delivery of a lean organisation that closely partners with Vodafone Shared Services, and will deliver signigifant year on year efficiency improvements across the global Finance Operations organisation.

  • You will take part in the Fixed Line Strategic Initiative: Support the Principal Project Manager to efine and implement a programme to radically transform the End to End Fin Ops processes for Vodafone’s Business Fixed Line products (~ €3bn revenue p.a.). The programme will have 2 objectives:
  1. Transform the end to end processes and governance for the infrastructure costs associated with Vodafone Group Business services (~ €200m cost p.a.) to deliver a radical reduction in process failure rate
  2. Define and implement a global Core Business Model solution for Business Fixed line products. Working closely with other Finance Operations and Technology teams, the solution will standardise the processes for numerous acquired businesses across the Group, and will deliver significant efficiency savings & control improvements
  • Redesigning Record to Report (RTR) processes: Support the Principal Project Manager to define and implement programme governance for a suite of improvements that will fundamentally transform the global RTR processes operated by ~ 500 people globally. RTR delivers the Group financial results, the statutory accounts for ~ 400 legal entities and the management accounting for all Vodafone markets. Working closely with the Fin Ops Head of Strategy & Oversight, the RTR Community of Practice owner and a global set of stakeholders, the Principal Project Manager will ensure that the programme delivers significant efficiency savings and control improvements via standardisation, process redesign and automation.
  • Also taking active part in other Strategic Initiatives: Support the Principal Project Manager in provide project management oversight and co-ordination across a dynamic range of Fin Ops initiatives on behalf of the global Director of Finance Operations

 

What will you bring to the team:

 

  • Fluent English language skills – written and spoken
  • Experience of managing projects to transform business processes; process qualification (e.g. Lean / Agile / Six Sigma) advantageous
  • Experience of projects and programmes in a global, cross-functional environment
  • Experience of implementing / working with Finance Systems (SAP and preferably HFM)
  • Experience of using data analytics to quantify issues and improvements
  • University degree and/or Masters
