Treasury Junior Manager – Maternity cover

 

Role purpose:

You will be responsible for managing a Team providing robust day-to-day Treasury Finance Services for the relevant business areas of Group companies. You need to understand organization structure of Vodafone Group and UK Holding entities, gain end-to-end overview of all finance operations processes, manage the statutory financial reporting, support tax pack preparation. Through collaboration with Group Treasury Finance Team and other Service Delivery Teams you have to ensure processes are efficient, compliant and result complete and accurate financial information. You should be able to identify reporting needs and managing their creation/implementation. Provide management information on value and volume metrics on global cash management processes.

 

What you will do:

Provide robust day-to-day Treasury Finance Services for the relevant business areas of Group companies
• through understanding organization structure of Vodafone Group and UK Holding entities,
• through developing in-depth end-to-end understanding of all finance operations processes,
• by managing the statutory financial reporting, supporting tax pack preparation; by collaborating with Group Treasury Finance Team and other service delivery teams to ensure processes are efficient, compliant and result complete and accurate financial information.
Drive results, maximize value and perform through an effective team
• by setting targets and defining the reporting framework and output needs to measure the position against operational plan
• by running effective individual performance management system
• through leveraging expertise by providing professional support, training and knowledge sharing in the team
• by identifying value leakages, suggesting and delivering improvements
Fully own the risk and compliance framework for the business area
• by ensuring the team operates in a solid framework regarding Sarbanes-Oxley, Vodafone Group and external policy guidelines to minimizing risk to Group
• by being responsible for managing accounting for Treasury transactions including integrity and efficiency of reconciliation processes
Act as a trusted point of contact for Treasury processes and controls 
• through engaging key stakeholders, building strong relationships with Group Treasury Finance, Group Treasury and Local  Markets

 

This position is for you if you have:
• Degree in Finance / Qualified Accountant
• Fair IFRS knowledge, general accounting and statutory reporting experience (min. 2 years)
• Experience in supervision of small teams, some managerial experience (min. 2 year)
• Strong stakeholder management including the engagement of Finance Managers of Group and Vodafone Operating Companies
• Fluency in English both written and oral
• Advanced Excel knowledge
• General SAP knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Internal and External auditing methodologies
• Solution- focus, proactivity, quick decision making
• CIMA certificate is an advantage
• Experience in telecommunications industry and/or working in shared service environment is an advantage
• Overall solid technical skills and OneSource knowledge is an advantage
• Treasury knowledge is an advantage
