Contract Controlling Team Leader


Vodafone Global Enterprise (VGE) is responsible for the on-going management of complex global contracts for Vodafone's largest multinational Enterprise customers. On top of the Contract Accounting Specialist role, the Contract Accounting Team Leader is managing a team of highly skilled Controlling & Reporting Specialists who are responsible financial supervision & controlling of key contracts, ensure these deliver expectations and drive changes to maximize Vodafone’s long-term return.


What you will do:
• Develop and motivate a team of high performing Controlling Specialists
• Responsible for the forecasting and dynamic allocation of work across the team and that this work being completed accurately and in a timely manner (deliver green KPIs), and for dealing with any escalations which may arise
• Lead and engage the team, review work, set targets and evaluate results
• Set controls and drive process improvements to maximise efficiency
• Build relationships with stakeholders and business partners and acts as first escalation point.
• Complete month end reviews on customer accounts including revenue and cost accruals tracking as well as FC EBIT/Cash flow reporting and forecasting to senior members of the finance community
• Identify any financial risks and develop mitigation plans associated with the customer P&L, customer contract and supplier relationships / contracts.
• Brief and advise senior stakeholders on complex in-life contractual changes to aid the approval process
• Drive development of new reporting tools to ensure that contract performance reporting process is streamlined
• Proactive problem solving: able to find the root cause and propose solutions. Take ownership of resolution with a can do attitude, escalate when needed


This position is for you if you have:
• University/College degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics
• Fluency in English
• 5+ years’ reporting/controlling/financial planning/project accounting background
• 1+ years’ experience with people management/coordination
• Strong Excel knowledge is a must and experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) or SQL knowledge is an advantage
• Commercial/Telco business knowledge (Mobile/Fixed) considered as an advantage
• Strong stakeholder management, project management and presentation skills
• Ability to find the key-motivators of the team members
• Ability to work effectively in a changing & agile digital environment
