Carrier Performance Specialist

Role purpose:

The role is responsible and accountable for building and managing carrier relationship. This includes defining service requirements in the carrier agreements, setting long-term regional strategy, negotiating with carrier to receive benefits, monitoring and managing carrier performance, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.

What will you do:

• You’ll act as key contact between carriers and Vodafone
• Being the subject matter expert, you’ll be simplifying Vodafone complexity for nominated carriers and region, as well for Vodafone Senior Account and Operations management
• You’ll be accountable for defining service requirements, monitoring and managing carrier performance
• You’ll negotiate the rules of engagement throughout the relationship lifecycle, influencing by recognizing their needs
• You’ll be reviewing supplier performance reports to proactively recognize areas of improvement, owning, driving and coordinating improvement plans
• You’ll formulate recommendations according to the strategic needs of Vodafone
• You’ll manage carrier on-boarding
• You’ll supervise projects and operations in a cross-functional environment
• You’ll manage processes aligned with ITIL including Service Level Management, Change Management and Continuous Service Improvement
• You’ll manage business critical escalations and provide consistent information to internal stakeholders


• Excellent relationship-building and -management skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills with a compromising approach
• Problem solving mind-set and proactive, willing to do attitude.
• Strategic thinking, striving for digital innovation
• Good overview of the international telecommunication industry, especially in fixed line business
• Experience in a customer-facing role preferably in the area of  Operations/Incident or Problem management/Change management/Service management/Supplier management
• Ability to gather, examine, and evaluate relevant commercial and technical information to select the best course of action from among various alternatives
• Experience in KPI reporting is a strong advantage
• Fluent written and spoken English is a must (C1), any other language is an advantage
• ITIL certification or equivalent knowledge at least on Foundation level
