Business Manager

 

Your role in a nutshell: 


The corporate functions service line (CFSL) in _VOIS comprises circa 2,000 people working across a broad range of corporate services including accounting, purchasing, tax, controlling, statutory accounting, security operations and a substantial data and analytics practice in GBiS. 

The Business Manager acts as a trusted advisor to the Head of CFSL, enabling the success of the function.  They deliver advice and counsel, create and maintain effective cross-functional working and assume responsibility for governance, special projects and smooth running of day to day for CFSL. You will ensure strategic alignment working closely with senior leaders in CFSL and _VOIS.

•    Contributes to the execution of strategic and annual operating goals through expertise in overall change management
•    Providing consultancy and advice to the Head of CFSL and/or CFSL LT
•    Ensures governance of CFSL agenda through in-depth understanding of the business’ priorities in order to enable fast decision making and smooth implementation of decisions
•    Develops, manages and administers CFSL LT documentation and communications, including liaison with internal communications for Head of CFSL and individual service line areas 
•    Acts as liaison across CFSL and _VOIS with regards to implementation and/or interpretation of overall strategy, ensuring internal buy-in of departmental heads and relevant partners in enabling functions 
•    Builds solid relations and contributes to the delivery of cross-company projects and acts as an interface between relevant internal and external partners, providing regular project reports and updates through the tracking of project status for the Head of CFSL 
•    Identifies and evaluates the risks associated with any programme activities and takes appropriate action to control the risk

 

What you will bring to the team:


•    Experience in working in virtual and matrixed multinational teams, with proven record of delivering goals in matrix organisations
•    Ability to understand and communicate strategic issues at executive level
•    Ability to work pro-actively on a day-to-day basis with minimum guidance on ad-hoc requirements
•    Ability to manage multiple & changing priorities and take accountability for decisions made.
•    Strong communication and presentation skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders and opinion leaders at all levels of the organization
•    Minimum 5+ years working in any operational function in an SSC environment (desired)
•    Fluent in English (spoken and written)
