Your day to day:

  • Integrate, provide and 24/7 operate cloud and virtualisation technology solutions for European Vodafone applications and customers.  
  • Provides operational support for the SDN solution located in global datacentres. Acts as a Level 2 support for NFV products in order to keep the business running in optimal parameters.  
  • Works closely with the design & build colleagues in order to smoothly take over the systems & solutions implemented during the project phase and makes sure there is no operational impact.  
  • Work in an agile way, supporting on-site and remote the Central Data Centre customers and support in creating the overall strategy for the SDN & NVF services enablement  

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Implements & supports the NFV Infrastructure Services from build to operations using VMware cloud stack.  
  • Support the organization-wide go-to-market plan, working with the key departments to execute.  
  • Monitor and maintain Platform/infrastructure/network performance, capacity and availability, providing 2nd level of support for the resolution of NFV infrastructure-related incidents and problems  
  • Support for the Product Owners in keeping a clean and accurate backlog  
  • Works on creating, defining, and implementing the upgrade plans on the NFV platform in global datacentres  
  • Makes sure tickets received in the Remedy queue are solved as per their urgency & importance, within the agreed SLAs  
  • Is part of the on-call rotation  

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • VNF concepts on VMware cloud stack (vSphere, vCloud Director, NSX)  
  • 3+ years of work experience in administering, supporting and troubleshooting DC infrastructure solutions based on VMware stack  
  • Understands Network Virtualization Architecture (VNF/SDN/MANO)  
  • Previous experience with NFV demands  
  • Proven problem solving and analytical thinking and ability to approach network problems logically and systematically  
  • Communicate concisely across technology, management and the business teams.  
  • Proven technical expertise of integrating IT network infrastructure services within Global and Satellite/Remote Data Centres    
  • Networking DC Routing & Switching experience, familiar with DC infrastructure (DB, SAN, etc.)  
  • Basics on Telco environments and platforms  
  • Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines. 
  • Technical certifications – Professional Level
