Your day to day:

The employee in the role of Subject Matter Expert Test Designer will be responsible to ensure that Vodafone Business Products and Services meets the business requirements and the agreed quality standards. One of the role’s objectives is to deliver appropriate and efficient testing services, by identifying defects during execution cycle as soon as possible and by minimizing risks for launch. The employee fulfilling this role must have an excellent overview of Vodafone’s technologies, network architecture, products and services.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

•    Work with cross functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
•    Drive and coordinate the activities needed to be delivered during the acceptance testing
•    Collaborates with project team members to identify risks/key issues that affect quality and working with project team to mitigate them.
•    Develop test schedules and ensure follow-through so that deadlines for testing completion are met.
•    Participate in requirements/design reviews of new products to analyze requirements, ensure testability, and identify design defects.
•    Create and execute test cases/regression tests to ensure deviations between specified and implemented functions are identified.
•    Propose and have an active participation in the process improvement initiatives.
•    Provides full report after each release, lessons learned, improvement points, and suggestions for the next release. 

With these skills you are a great candidate:

•    At least 3 years experience in a Test Designer/Test Lead/Test Manager/Test Environment Management/Project Manager role
•    Knowledge of telecommunication services, networks and technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, IP, PDH, SDH, DWDM)
•    Strong testing cycle knowledge from the early design phase until the operation phase and relative models 
•    Knowledge of SW information system lifecycle including planning, development, testing and acceptance, implementation, performance optimization and debugging.   
•    ISTQB Test Manager (or equivalent) Certification is a plus
•    Automated testing using different frameworks and programming languages is a plus.
•    University Degree in Telecommunications / IT or similar domains
•    Good Knowledge of English, German is a plus
