Cyber Security’s role is to inspire trust and confidence in our customers by enabling secure connectivity. Our purpose is to proactively protect Vodafone from security threats and reduce risk across Vodafone’s global technology infrastructure.



The Senior Manager, Cyber Defence Operations Enablement is responsible for guiding the implementation of Cyber Defence services, strategic direction, and plan across all global entities. Working closely with their Cyber Defence peers, global Heads of Cyber and senior domain managers across both Cyber Prevent and Secure by Design, they will be accountable for defining, documenting and assisting their peers with implementation of overall Cyber Defence services and roadmap, designed to deliver world-class security services and optimal risk mitigation for Vodafone and our customers. They will also be accountable for ensuring close coordination, reporting and alignment with ongoing cyber defence strategic improvement initiatives across all Vodafone entities.



The Senior Manager, Cyber Defence Operations Enablement will be required to operate effectively in a complex, dynamic and constantly changing environment, in which people and stakeholders need to be actively engaged. This role will also collaborate effectively with their peers to ensure there is consistency in frameworks, processes and reporting across all Cyber Defence domains.



Additionally, the role holder will act as an ambassador for Vodafone Cyber Security and the Cyber Code within the business, advocating security best practice, adoption of common requirements/strategies/solutions and promoting security best practice when working with Vodafone colleagues worldwide.


With us you will:

  • Full autonomy and accountability for leading the development and delivery of Cyber Defence operations enablement and plan across all global entities.
  • Accountable, working with the local Cyber Defence teams, for leading global Cyber Defence enablement definition and improvement initiatives across all Vodafone entities.
  • Responsible for driving cross-functional Cyber Defence activities to increase the overall maturity and efficiency of the Cyber Defence team. This will include end to end process optimisation and automation.
  • Liaising with Cyber Security Risk, Control and Compliance to ensure that the Cyber Defence roadmap is always aligned to our risk mitigation strategy with optimal risk reduction outcomes.
  • Budget management within agreed contingency parameters.



Apply if you have:

  • Professional experience in Programme Management, Change Management, Service Delivery
  • Track record of creating/guiding/delivering service delivery and associated strategic change programmes in a complex technology environment
  • Strong analytical skills to inform effective data driven decisions on service improvement and risk reduction
  • Ability to create strong matrix teams, and engaging effectively, across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, up to and including board level
  • Communicating and reporting concise summaries of complex scenarios/information across diverse and senior stakeholder groups
  • Creating coaching and learning environments. Knowing when to offer support to others and when to take personal accountability
  • Professional security qualifications such as CISSP or CISM is desired
