Description

  • As part of Global team, provide subject matter expertise and develop complex customer solutions for high-profile international accounts/MNC’s – this includes solutions from an evolving set of data products and services, but with particular emphasis on fixed connectivity incl. (global) IP VPN, SDWAN, and Managed LAN, unified communications.
  • Consulting the external customer, building credibility and confidence in Vodafone as a solutions provider.
  • Undertake global travel for customer meetings/sales workshops to represent capability of Vodafone’s Fixed Line product sets and propose a solution along with Pre-Sales teams and influence customers decision in Vodafone’s favour thus contributing to the Group revenue.
  • Working closely with Customer SME’s, Solution Consultants, external partners as well as local Technical Solution Architects and local Network Engineers from various markets during the SELL and BUILD phase. Ensure that innovative solutions are developed that meet customer requirements and can be implemented with minimum business disruption; focusing on technical aspects and coordination of interfaces. 
  • Assuring development of the solution in time and at quality levels agreed with the customer. Provide technical leadership for enterprise customers as they integrate with Vodafone’s Fixed Line solutions.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • University degree in engineering or IT
  • CCNA & CCNP certification or equivalent certification with technical knowledge of LAN Technology (Ethernet, WiFi; WAN Access Technology (xDSL, Ethernet, SDH) ; IP Networking; Voice Networking
  • Switching and routing technologies
  • Excellent English skills:
  • Sound understanding of best practice in design methodology, Telco business processes and frameworks (e.g eTOM and ITIL) used to delivery complex solutions

Job Responsibility

Essential:

  • In-depth knowledge in Routing, Switching, QoS, Security, Wireless, MPLS,SDWAN
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering connectivity / LAN & WAN / Global IP VPN solutions, preferably gained in a large enterprise, multi-country and multi-product environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – confidence and professionalism both in working with multinational project teams and with clients on various levels of the organisation, from technical audiences to senior management
  • Analytical and critical thinking; innovative problem solving capability for complex customer requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure from both customers and internal stakeholders and produce solution designs that are deliverable

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ total experience in the areas of  Networking and Telecommunications technologies
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in dealing with large, corporate customers in a technical solution design or consultancy role
