What Will I Be Doing?

 

The Programme Director will lead the overall programme delivery, encompassing our design, build and deployment of business and technology change. They will provide confidence and transparency on the success of the programme, taking responsibility for programme delivery to the agreed time, cost and quality. The Programme Director will ensure a clearly understood and integrated programme delivery approach and implement the overall governance and programme frameworks to achieve its success. 

 

You will build a high performing programme team – embedding our focus on remarkable simplicity and establishing a culture of test and learn, customer focus and high performance. This role will establish and lead a PMO to establish and operate core processes to effectively support the team.   You will ensure effective management of multiple third party vendors and build a shared accountability for the overall success of the programme. 

 

As a key member of the Digital Accelerator Leadership Team, this role will work closely with the Tribe Leads to ensure effective integration across the multiple, complex streams of the programme and ensure a shared successful programme delivery. 

What Will I Bring?

 

We are seeking a highly experienced Programme Director who has lead digital transformation and has the experience and lessons to bring to their next big opportunity. You will be excited about the opportunity to be part of a fundamental change, and understand the scale of the challenge. The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex digital transformation programmes incorporating business, people and technology change.  
  • Exceptional engagement and communication skills - able to engage at C suite and within the programme delivery team.
  • Experience working with third party vendors including management of offshore vendors.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, and able to define and flex delivery approaches including both agile and waterfall approaches.
  • Experiencing setting up and leading core programme enablers including governance, dependency management and risk / issue processes.
  • Full life cycle experience from programme standup through to post go live - able to both establish and operate best practice programme delivery.
