Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

•    Enable automated Kubernetes, Microservice and Operational capabilities to continuously expand cloud platform capabilities that enable development teams to deploy, configure, manage, maintain, and support production applications.
•    Contribute to managing our Kubernetes Lifecycle: deployments, upgrades, monitoring, and uptime of K8S clusters
•    Maintaining and evolving development and deployment pipelines leveraging Jenkins, GitHub APIs and Kubernetes tools (Helm Charts, etc)
•    Establish a portfolio of DevOps processes, practices, and tools to empower and support delivery teams in continuous deployment, continuous integration, and rapid delivery across value streams
•    Create and implement automation and orchestration tools with infrastructure teams or cloud providers
•    Educate and foster self-service and efficiency wherever possible, automating the processes of provisioning and maintaining continuous integration environments, integration/QA testing, security & configuration
•    Ensure availability, scalability, maintainability, monitoring of systems for operations

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

•    Advanced ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements, and develop solutions
•    Strong problem solving and design thinking skills, and ability to produce out-of-the-box ideas and innovative solutions
•    Strong relationship building, persuasion, and collaboration skills, acting as enabler for coordination of activities between technical teams and building of cross-functional relationships quickly and confidently
•    Agility and willingness to track, assess, and incorporate practice and technology developments into day-to-day working


 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

•    At least 3-5 years of professional experience in a relevant role 
•    Automated software and infrastructure deployment and configuration management
•    Agile and DevOps Software development experience
•    Public and private cloud IaaS and PaaS deployment models and technologies, e.g. AWS (preferred), Openstack, Azure
•    Strong understanding of network protocols, client-server communication and networking inside Kubernetes Cluster
•    Hands-on experience with containers and container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
•    Infrastructure automation and configuration management tools, e.g.  Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt
•    Knowledge regarding Java frameworks and their deployment strategies (JVM, memory allocations, etc) will be considered a plus.

•    Performance Test automation with SonarQube and live Monitoring with Splunk
