Role Purpose

The job holder will develop and implement product strategies for NGA products and services consistent with the company vision.
 

Key responsibilities & decision ownership

•    Work with stakeholders from Sales, Operations, Executive Management, and customer communities to translate business goals into results
•    Forecast projected business ROI: establish an annual budget, target profit margin, and market share, review variance, and initiate corrective actions per product and territory
•    Collect, analyze, and summarize market data and trends and report to Senior Management
•    Manage competition benchmarking, interact directly with key accounts exploring specific needs, and identifying new opportunities
•    Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
•    Make creative recommendations to expand the product base and improve current one
•    Suggest ways to track product use and impact on end-users
 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

•    Product Lifecycle Management. Collaborate with key company leaders on sales/market forecasting and financial budgeting. Direct the ongoing evaluation of portfolio products and optimization/improvement of products with respect to their lifecycle stage (launch, growth, harvest, retire, etc.).
•    Product Development. Collaborate with project management and key stakeholders to create and execute a project plan that achieves defined requirements. Advocate for customer experience objectives and strategic integrity during development and life-cycle management efforts. Collaborate with project management to conduct risk mitigation and contingency planning.
•    Product Strategy. Interact with executive leadership to intake ideas, analyze feasibility, determine strategic alignment, and prioritize development initiatives on long-term product roadmap
•    Leadership. Accept responsibility for the success or failure of assigned products. Guide the outcome of large initiatives with material impact to the organization's financial success. Contribute thought leadership by participating in market conversations and industry events. Direct the work of Product Management team members and other functional groups.
 

Must have technical / professional qualifications

•    5+ years proven experience as a Senior Product Manager or similar role (e.g. research, positioning, P&L per product and territory)
•    Previous experience in Telecommunication industry in NGA services is preferred 
•    Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing. MBA preferred
•    Excellent written and oral command of the English language
