Role purpose:

IT BSS Engineer is end-to-end accountable for the design and delivery of high quality technical solutions & projects in the area of CRM.

Key accountabilities:

• Technical domain responsibility (fixed/ mobile).
• Drive the end-to-end technical solution across all BSS systems respecting architectural and security principles.
• Technical project management & IT solution planning.
• Vendor management & suppliers coordination in terms of project scope, technical solution, plan and cost.
• Participation in full Software Development lifecycle: 
• Business analysis & consulting.
• Requirements review & feasibility check.
• Effort estimation & project planning.
• Technical solution design & review based on architectural principles and standards.
• Build & testing close follow-up.
• Hypercare
• Work closely with other IT teams (PM, Business Engagement, Digital) and Business departments to deliver solutions on time and on budget with high quality.
 

Required core competencies:

• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Telecom industry. 
• Experience in delivering complex solutions in  BSS area in a matrix environment.
• Experience in CRM systems (Oracle Siebel preferred) with solid technical background.
• Good understanding of integration/API technologies.
• Experience in database technologies.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly self-motivated and methodical, with attention to detail. 
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Good time & priorities management.
 

Desired experience in:

• Both waterfall & agile development models
• Digital projects and technologies
 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• At least 6 years of similar experience.
• Higher education in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant field. 
• Master Degree on IT related areas or business administration will be considered as an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both Greek & English.
