Role Purpose

Being part of an agile team, App Channel’s Product Owner’s mission is to provide top notch mobile app channel experience for Vodafone customers. Digesting the voice of the customer with business needs, Mobile App Product Owner defines and delivers all necessary mobile channel enablers and infrastructure on My Vodafone app and oversees related operations that will to support other squad’s development.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

•    End2End accountability for agile or waterfall development of critical enablers to be used by other squads (e.g. digital document management infrastructure, biometric features, etc.) 
•    Coordinate with the Tribe Leads and other Product Owners on mobile app channel strategy, roadmap and development based on market needs, competition and group directions
•    Manages expectations of stakeholders and senior leaderships regularly and on all aspect of My Vodafone app channel from channel capability development to channel performance and customer engagement
•    Defines the skills and capabilities required for the proper operations of mobile app channel squads together with the Tribe Lead, the Tech Lead and the Chapter Leads
•    Develops journeys that are related with the app customer and/or app channel that are used by other squads (ie subscription mechanisms, Click 2 call forms, eligibility tools)
•    Prioritizes value for Digital Channels app team and is responsible for the creation of product backlog increments (Themes, Epics, user stories)
•    Works closely with Solution Architects and Business Analysts on the analysis of features, technical feasibility and incremental delivery of product backlog items (epics, user stories)
•    Makes data driven decisions for backlog prioritization and works with Tribe lead and Agile Portfolio Manager to pick up and plan release dates and manage set expectation for new functionalities delivery
•    Approves the final release plan and accepts all deliverables against defined user stories and acceptance criteria
•    Design and execute campaigns to drive My Vodafone app penetration and tNPS
•    Monitors customer and channel metrics and funnels
•    Defines and tracks Objective Key Results (OKRs) and KPIs as part of the quarterly business reviews (QBR) process

Functional skills, experience & knowledge

•    MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Studies combining technical savviness 
•    Experience in developing a digital product (preferably mobile app) and proven track record for applications launched
•    Knowledge of the web & mobile application industry and services
•    Experience working with internal and external business partners, driving and completing concurrent projects on time and within budget 
•    Experience in digital product development lifecycle from insight to launch and aftermarket support 
•    Understanding of fundamentals of software development processes and procedures, as well as supporting systems and architecture
•    Understanding digital operations from customer facing functions to back office
•    Experience and knowledge of the Telco industry strongly preferred
•    JIRA/Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent experience preferred
